With a population of about 228,000 in the city and about 2 million in the metropolitan area, Orlando is located in central Florida in what was once a major citrus-growing region. Today, the city is most known for being home to world famous attractions including the Walt Disney Resort and the Universal Orlando Resort, making the city the third most visited city in the United States.

Although the city’s economy is based primarily on tourism, the local economy has since diversified. The University of Central Florida is also located in Orlando. Orlando has a warm and relatively humid subtropical climate. Summers are marked with hot and rainy weather, with storms rolling in almost every afternoon. During the winter the weather is more dry and has less frequent rainfall.

Although Orlando offers its guests excellent dining, shopping, and entertainment experiences, it is the attraction parks in the surrounding areas that attract most of the visitors.
